Ideas of Where to Spend Your New Year’s Eve

December 24, 2014 by Vincent Abbatecola

Composite image of 2014 and 2015It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving was nearly a month ago and that Christmas Eve is already here. Once Christmas is over, it’ll then be time to think about what you might want to do to ring in 2015, if you haven’t thought about it already. While going into New York City can be a fun experience, there are still the crowds and transportation hassles to contend with. Considering everything that the Lower Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey have to offer in terms of a fun night out, you’re bound to find something exciting and special to do on one of the biggest nights of the year, if you choose to skip NYC. While you’re considering different options, be sure to think about the following for your New Year’s Eve.

One of the top things to do on this night is to attend the 15th Annual New Year’s Eve Spectacular in White Plains. This event includes everything you could hope for in an NYE celebration: music, fireworks, confetti, and, of course, the highly anticipated ball drop. If you’re looking for an experience like that of New York City, but would like something on a smaller scale that’s still a whole lot of fun, this is a wonderful destination for you, your friends, and family to welcome 2015.

If you’re looking for something to do in Rockland to celebrate the night, head on over to Dave and Buster’s in the Palisades Mall in West Nyack for a fantastic New Year’s Eve bash. When you make your required reservation, the package provides attendees with a $20 Power Card for the Million-Dollar Midway, as well as a delectable chef’s buffet with a wide range of scrumptious food that will be served from 9PM to midnight, and there will be a dessert buffet later in the night. There will also be a DJ and dancing, so you can party to modern and classic hits.

In Orange County, you can have terrific fun at Falkirk Estate’s New Year’s Eve Gala in Central Valley. Attendees will have a marvelous night of dining and dancing. The gala will include a six-hour open bar, cocktail hour, a three-course dinner, champagne toast, and fireworks once midnight hits. Make sure to call or e-mail for reservations.

For something to do in New Jersey, check out the club, Life, in Teaneck. It will feature Hot97’s DJ Camilo, as well as DJ GKidd, Rompe Bocina, and Alpha Mixx, so you know there will be an abundance of energy throughout the night as you wait for 2015 to approach. Many tickets are being sold, so be sure to order yours and get there in plenty of time to avoid standing towards the back of the line. You must be 21 or over to get in, so make sure to bring your ID.

You still have some time to figure out what you would like to do for New Year’s Eve, but these were just suggestions to give you some ideas. If you do end up going out on NYE, have fun, but always remember to stay safe.
